The Waco Community Center was built in 1939-1940 by the National Youth Administration work program developed by the Franklin D. Roosevelt Administration. The building was owned and maintained by the Waco Women’s Club until they deeded the property to the Town in 1993. Over the years the building has hosted business meetings, local and national elections, and has served as a meeting place for members of the community.

Today the building is open to members of the community for rental use for parties, reunions or family gatherings. To inquire about availability and cost, contact the Town of Waco at 704-769-4147 and leave a message or e-mail us at townofwaco@gmail.com. A Town Representative will contact you.

Rental fees:

Full day rental -   $100.00

**Maximum capacity 69 people per the Cleveland County Fire Marshal's office**

There is a $50.00 cleaning deposit for each rental due when you pick-up the keys. This fee will be returned following a positive walk through of the building by a town representative.

Attention: The Town of Waco Board of Aldermen voted on March 16th to temporarily suspend rental request for the Waco Community Center.  We feel this is the best course of action for us to comply with the recommendations for social distancing and cancelling community-wide gatherings as encouraged by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, Cleveland County officials and the CDC. We apologize for any inconvenience.
