The Waco Community Center was built in 1939-1940 by the National Youth Administration work program developed by the Franklin D. Roosevelt Administration. The building was owned and maintained by the Waco Women's Club until they deeded the property to the Town in 1993. Over the years the building has hosted business meetings, local and national elections, and has served as a meeting place for members of the community.
Today the building is open to members of the community for rental use for parties, reunions or family gatherings. To inquire about availability and cost, contact the Town of Waco at 704-769-4147 and leave a message or e-mail us at townofwaco@gmail.com. A Town Representative will contact you. See the calendar below for available dates.
